The Original "Rob Thomas Road Trip" Part 2

So, by now you all have heard the beginning of our exciting trip. Kat and I have now seen Rob Thomas in concert 3 times, once with Matchbox 20 and twice solo. So, as Kat has expressed, we did in fact stop 25 minutes into our trip and we did have a “rude little thang” helping us at Starbucks! After all that, we did decide to stop at Jack-In-The Box and that was about 15 minutes later. Our trip down was good, however, not the best or most exciting. Kat and I have been feeling a little under the weather lately and we both woke up that Saturday morning with the biggest headaches, feeling as if we were massively hung-over. Once in Reno, we stopped at the Meadowood Mall so Kat could find a cute shirt to go with the cutest shoes! She unfortunately had no luck and was not satisfied with the outcome. We also went into Buckle because back in Redding they sold out of a pair of shoes I fell in love with. I procrastinated in buying them for many reasons, none of which I can believe I let get in the way. So, Buckle had the shoes, but absolutely not one in my size or surrounding size! Talk about disappointment…

We left the mall and checked in at the Silver Legacy which is literally 1-1 ½ blocks from our hotel, the perfect walk. Like Kat said we did get ready in record time…only 1 ½ hours. Not bad for two women! Once inside the Events Center, we stood in line for a drink and as we drew closer to the counter we decided against drinking so we wouldn’t “sweat”. If that isn’t the funniest excuse…but true. Like I have expressed before and to many people he put on the most awesome show. Rob Thomas is truly a great entertainer.

After the concert we walked back to the Silver Legacy and finally decided to get a late dinner. We both had been excited to check out the bars and to finally have a drink. After dinner we went to the room to change our shoes and to drop off our purses. That is where our night ended. What a disappointment! However, we both seemed ok with not going out and just staying off our feet. What we women do for our shoes…

Sunday morning came and we both got around (once again in record time)… up by 8:00a.m and out of the hotel shortly before 10a.m. On our way out, we had to get a ICED CARMEL MACHIATTO, along with that Kat had Banana Bread and I had a Cheese Bagel (FYI…Starbucks in Reno on Virginia Ave. does not have a toaster or anything to warm the bagel with). Then the adventure began…

We were both feeling so much better that morning that we talked about everything. I have now decided that when we go out I am the Buffalo and she is my Wing (the wing woman). We stopped at the Roseville Galleria in Roseville, CA. on our way back. We checked out Buckle, Areopostle, Fossil, Delia’s, Finish Line, Popcornopolis, Cinnabon, Macy’s and this awesome Home Décor Store (Designs 101, made our FIVE BEST STORES) our with the cutest items!

After our little shopping spree, we hit the road I-80 West to I-5 North and only stopped one time… Taco Bell in Willows, CA. We both ordered a Chicken Quesadilla, and who would have known that the Willows employees make them so much spicier than in Redding? Kat and I were dying…! By the time we got home it was a little after 6:00p.m., and Kat’s little boy opened the door for us and was completely overjoyed to see his mom.
